About Andrew

I am a NYC based freelance costume designer and technician. My work as a costume designer and technician has taken me across the country and provided me with a variety of creative skills that aid my understanding and communication of how to bring costumes from the page to the stage or screen. There’s an art to being able to portray a characters personality, feelings, and motivations through clothing. From the silhouette to the color to minor details, each element evokes an aspect of a character and a designers firm understanding of who they are in the story. It is important for a costume designer to work collaboratively with a production team to build the world of the play and the overall narrative of the piece. I love bringing my unique perspective and curiosity to the table and providing audiences with new and engaging experiences in theatre. 

I received MFA in Costume Design and Technology from the University of South Carolina in May 2024, and I received my BA in Theatre from Florida State University in May 2019.
